Virtual Events for your Autumnal Enjoyment!

We are offering some fun virtual events in conjunction with Bellingham Parks and Recreation for your autumnal enjoyment!

All events are via “Zoom” and last around an hour, featuring a presentation of local history, photos and more. $10/person (half price of an in-person tour and you don’t have to leave your couch!)

10/21 - Buried Belling-History

Buried Belling-History: A Virtual Tour of Bayview Cemetery

Kolby LaBree of the Good Time Girls Bellinghistory Tours will lead a virtual tour, highlighting some of the fascinating history of Bayview Cemetery, with filmed footage and historical photographs. Founded in 1887 when the town of Whatcom purchased a 10-acre plot along the road to Lake Whatcom, Bayview Cemetery is the only remaining cemetery in the town of Bellingham. We will explore how the cemetery has grown and highlight some of the history of its most interesting monuments. Question and answer session included!

10/28 - Woodstock Farm Gore & Lore

Woodstock Farms Gore & Lore: Chuckanut Ghost Stories and Grisly Tales

Broadcasting live from Woodstock Farm, the Good Time Girls will tell some of the creepiest tales of the Chuckanut area. Beautiful during the day… but spooky at night! You’ll hear about the spooks that may haunt the train tunnel and trestle, the old “Cowman’s Cottage” as well as horrifying true crimes and unsolved mysteries. This one is rated mature for potentially scary and violent themes. Question and answer session included.

Rating: PG13 (violent crimes and themes of death)

11/18 - Mysterious Markers

Mysterious Markers: Stories Behind the "Fairhaven Historic Plaques"

Kolby LaBree of the Good Time Girls will lead a virtual tour of the famous “Fairhaven Markers.” You may have seen them placed around Harris Avenue and beyond in Bellingham’s Historic Fairhaven District, with mysterious messages such as “Dead Men Displayed Here, 1890.” We will dive deep into the stories behind some of the markers with filmed footage and historical photographs. Question and answer session included.
