It's time for some Holiday History Hi-Jinks with the Good Time Girls!

This year the Good Time Girls’ annual celebration of holiday themed Belling-history and seasonal fun is going virtual!

As it is 2020 and it should come as no surprise by now that this year we won’t be hitting the streets or serenading any of our favorite Bellingham bars with our lovely carols, in order to keep us and our community safe during this historic pandemic.

We are going to stay safe and cozy at home, zoom-a-zoom-zooming, while still supporting our favorite local establishments by BUYING THEIR BOOZY HOLIDAY DRINK KITS and TO-GO GOODIES! (Hint hint!) We will also be dressing up festively as usual, and offering a GTG favorite make-at-home cocktail option.  SEE BELOW!

As always there will be history, trivia, music, and prizes. During the event we will regale you with fascinating tales from Bellingham Christmas Past.  You’ll hear about how and when Santa Claus came to B-town over the years; learn the deets on Bellingham’s world-record giant “Yule Tree” and more!

Although much of Bellingham’s “Holiday History” involves WASPy/Christian traditions of celebrating the darkest days of the year, this is ultimately a non-religious event celebrating all history and holidays. If you aren’t down with some heathen irreverence, this may not be the event for you. We are the Good Time Girls after all!

That said, since we have hearts of gold, we will donate a portion of proceeds to a local good cause as is our tradition.  So you can have your fun, drink and be merry while also helping those in need.  It’s almost as good as confession.  Our cause this year is homelessness and we will donate a portion of proceeds to Road2Home.org.

We have two dates available - Wednesday December 16 and Saturday December 19th

7 pm on ZOOM  (link will be sent to you upon registration)

The event will last around an hour (we may go over)

$15 per computer (if you are in one house and can share, you get lucky - please feel free to tip us and/or donate a little extra to Road2Home.org.

COCKTAIL DEMO: The Berry Merry Martini

Here is a list of what you will need, with substitute options below!

Berry Merry Martini

  • Club soda*

  • Grenadine*

  • Limoncello*

  • Vodka

  • Chambord*

  • Sugar

  • Raspberries

  • Lemon

  • Ice

  • Small flat plate

  • Cocktail shaker*

  • Martini glass*

Substitutions

*Soda replaced with 7-up or any clear citrus soda pop for a sweeter taste

*grenadine is mostly for adding color, not everyone has this. You can leave it out but would reccomend using 7-up instead of club soda. Grenadine is also very sweet, soda pop will make up for it

*limoncello may be hard to find, can substitute lemon vodka. Muddled lemon can replace it for flavor as well but add 1/2 shot of extra vodka to make up for it.

* Chambord is pricey. It's a raspberry liqueur at the end of the day. Bols makes a cheap black raspberry liqueur. Dekuyper has a razzmatazz that's similar. Can also muddle raspberry with an extra shot of vodka. Be warned, muddled raspberries come with lots of little seeds that can be hard to strain out.

* If you have no cocktail shaker, a to go coffee cup with a lid works! Keep your finger over the hole in the lid while shaking though! Any large glass can work if you want it stirred instead of shaken

* Martini glass isn't a necessity, just looks fancy ;) any old glass will work
